Responsible for the leadership, administration and efficient daily operation of dispatch, delivery and office personnel to include scheduling, delivery strategy and service process.
Reviews ongoing performance results to targets and takes corrective measures with authorization, escalates as needed.
Provides guidance and leadership for positive staff motivation and performance results of employees.
Ensures seasonal drivers and dispatch staffing levels are maintained and meeting business and financial needs.
Participates in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning process as appropriate.
Works to ensure effective employee relationships are maintained in areas of responsibility and between other company departments to include: other energy service offices, other business channels, and supporting departments.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective mariner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position and manages manpower resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of delivery processes.
Strong leadership and organizational skills required to communicate in a tactful and articulate manner with direct reports and corporate leadership.
The Operations Manager directly supervises dispatch, service personnel, drivers in the field and fuels areas. The Operations Manager is also responsible for results of operational expenses, trainings, certifications, hours of service and overall delivery performance.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
